'Elemental Realms'

'Elemental Realms' is Olivia's most recent installation made for her final Masters degree project. It consisted of three animated paintings projected large scale onto walls, accompanied by an immersive soundscape. The soundscape combined sounds from nature, such as water dripping and crickets chirping, with droning synth to emulate the way the animations moved.
It was an enjoyable sensory experience for the audience to sit in and feel like they were in another world, even if they were sat for just five minutes. Creating this installation led Olivia to do a lot of research about nature in art and through that she gained a much better understanding of the growth and movement of the natural world, and how connected humanity really is.
